SPEAKER PROFILE

Jill Simpson is a professional fitness/dance instructor with a specialization in aging populations. She has her Geriatric Certification from McMaster and has worked with the Alzheimer Society and MS Society. Jill is an Osteoporosis Society Bonefit®, Canfitpro, and CCAA-certified Seniors’ Fitness Specialist, as well as an NCCP Fundamental Movement Skills Coach. A specialist in brain health and positive aging, she is the developer of The Great Brain Workout – Fitness for Your Aging Brain, a program that runs in four locations across the Kitchener/Waterloo region. Her bi-monthly ‘Fitness for Your Aging Brain’ column appears in Embracing Change Magazine. Jill is currently working on a short documentary film about dispelling the negative stereotypes of aging.
